That means Thank God Its Good Friday!
And as Sarawakians, we do have a lot to be thankful for, don’t we?
First and foremost, we’re thankful that we get a day off from work/school today so that most of us Christians can observe our religious obligations…that is to take part in the Good Friday service held this afternoon or this evening.
Actually, we should also be thankful about the religious tolerance and acceptance in Sarawak, and in Malaysia in general, and the peace and harmony that we benefit from, as a result of this tolerance and acceptance.
Do we take this for granted, you may ask? Hell yeah!
So if you’re going to church later, don’t forget to say a little prayer of thanksgiving for that.
While we’re all still in the prayerful mode, let’s not forget about the real reason for this day being celebrated across the globe…it’s to remind us that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins. ’nuff said.
In conclusion, let’s be thankful it’s a holiday and a holy day.
